How Do I Wait On God When I Need Him Right Now?

Have you ever had to wait on the Lord? It can be painful. Pastor Scott gives us a different perspective on waiting.

What are you waiting on God for? A better marriage? A renewed relationship with your kid(s)? What about a better salary or better yet, a new job? Waiting can be painful. It can be heartbreakingly painful. But how much of our wait is on us getting in God’s way? Are we really waiting on God? Or are we going forward with our own plans hoping God will go along with it?

Waiting is a weapon of spiritual warfare. It is one of the keys to defending ourselves against the Devil’s schemes, and let’s be honest, against our own schemes as well. It’s hard to be patient and to wait, but I want you to catch what the prophet Isaiah has to say to us about waiting on the Lord:

“He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who wait on the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.”

Love you men, more than you know!

-Your Brother Scott
